Data limitations
- Our figures come mainly from ADS-B position broadcasts received by a volunteer network. Coverage has gaps, especially at low altitude, over water and in remote areas. Aircraft that are not broadcasting are invisible to us.
- Flight hours and counts are minimum observed values. Actual activity is usually higher.
- Public charts are aggregated and delayed (recent weeks are held back).
- Data can contain errors and may be revised without notice. We make no guarantee of accuracy, completeness or timeliness.
Company links
We associate aircraft with companies using public registries and our own research. A link is unconfirmed unless we state that it is confirmed. Headline figures use confirmed links only. Unconfirmed links are labelled as such and should not be relied on.
Aircraft whose owners opted out
Some aircraft owners have asked not to be publicly tracked. We exclude those aircraft from our published figures, so some activity by tracked companies is not shown.

Aircraft position data is from adsb.lol and is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0. Any rights in individual contents of the database are licensed under the Database Contents License. Aircraft registration data is from the FAA Aircraft Registry, and airport data is from OurAirports (public domain). Where we distribute a database derived from adsb.lol data, it is offered under the ODbL.
